Cost of Living in Vietnam – How much money do you need to to live in Vietnam?

Video COMMENTS:

Adam Romapecorino: It's said Vietnam is a food haven and shopping paradise! Cannot wait for my trip to Vietnam next month.

tuyetnhung phamthi: +Adam Romapecorino did you visit to Vietnam?

Dennis Vu: +Adam Romapecorino street food stall is one of the best. The only better country is probably taiwan in terms of street food.

Alex Cyrus: That is really cool that your maid asked for a raise from 30,000 dong to 40,000 dong (about $1.50 to $2.00) an hour and you gave her 50,000 dong/hour. It is heart breaking to see tourists haggle over 25 cents on the street over a shoeshine from homeless kids. I know haggling is part of the game over there, but it's just not worth the time when you are on vacation.

Tuan Nguyen: +Alex Cyrus thanks. Trẻ trâu kệ. Từ từ ms tiến bộ:)))

Tuan Nguyen: +Alex Cyrus lũ học mà giao tiếp mấy dạy như vậy nói tiếng anh giỏi mà ng ta nghĩ khác :)

Lkai: It's just fair information given. Rent should be discussed first, good advice to stay at Hostal for $7, but he needs to mention that if you don't want to share a room, you can go to cheap local hotels and get your own room with AC, TV, including bathroom for $10-12 nightly. Also on food, good beef is about 240,000 dong a kilo in a supermarket, or $12 dollars for 2.2 Lbs. so that's much more than in the USA. Also other meat and poultry are more than in the USA, you'll save on fruits ,vegetables, rice., and local products. He also needs to mention what kind of food you can get on the street for prices he gave haven't been to VN for awhile, but I believe you can get a bowl of Pho, a local noodle soup with meat, for about 35,000 dong, rice or noodles stir for types for about the same. A Vietnamese sandwich on French bread with some local processed meat and some shaved vegetables, simp,e sandwich, but ok for about 20-25,000 dong. You can live elsewhere outside Hanoi or Saigon for much less. On average of you live decently to fairly well but not extravagantly you can get by with your own furnished small place, good food, cheap beer for I'd say about USD $700 – $750 monthly.

anizares1: Lkai He failed to mention the visa costs as well and that process.

Tesla: why does the bench seem to float around him?

Richard's World: +Tesla He probably used a software program to stabilize shaky video. When you use stabilization software, parts of the video warp.
